Who Am I?

Hi! My name is Tahren Terrell Brandon. I have been a wife to an incredible man of God for 16 years, who is now in eternity with the LORD. He so graciously left me his phenomenal “mini me” to continue to raise in the fear and admonition of the LORD. I have been a contributing writer to a local newspaper, the County News, since 2019, and a poet and rapper for 30+ years.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master of Arts in Christian Education, a Master of Human Services: Marriage and Family Therapy, and a Master of Theological Studies: Biblical Cognate. Hmmm…ironically, I have no degree in writing.

Nevertheless, my greatest accomplishment is that I have been a follower of Christ for as long as I can remember. I thank my parents for introducing me to Jesus, but we have our own relationship now, which you will learn more about as you read what I write. I am a Bible-believing Christian. All of God’s Word is true, or none of it is true.

What do I write?

I write kick-butt devotionals! Some will make you cry, some will kick your butt, in a nice way of course. All of them will hopefully penetrate your spirit and get you thinking about the goodness of God and how you can serve and please Him in this life. I get much inspiration from my incredible young daughter, so you will hear lots about her and her shenanigans, but ultimately, I am inspired by the inerrant, infallible Word of God. I write what the Holy Spirit tells me to write.

Why do I write?

I write only to bring glory to God. Whether I am writing a devotional, a rap song, a children’s book, a research paper, or a poem, whatever I do, I honestly want it to be pleasing in the sight of the LORD. “Not to us, LORD, not to us but to Your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness” (Psalm 115:1).
